Recap Of Our First 50 Days

This week has seen us pass 50 days since the East Thurrock Community Football Club working group was founded, we would like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement of an entirely new fan-run club. We have already achieved a great deal in a short space of time and shared it with you in our weekly updates, but there is still plenty more work to do.

We want to make sure that we do our due diligence with every decision that we make. To ensure this we have reached out to lots of non-league clubs and looked at all the different models of fan-run clubs to make sure we have something that is sustainable, transparent, and democratic. We want fans to be the ones making key decisions, we have already announced this is how the badge will be decided and have several other votes that will take place too.

In terms of where we play football for the 2024/25 season and beyond nothing has been decided other than it will be in Corringham or Stanford-le-Hope. We are currently going through every available option and the implications both financially and for the team’s progression up the leagues. We will share this information at the public meeting in the new year.

If you plan to join us at our public meeting at the New Courthouse on Wednesday 10th January at 7:30pm please make sure you email eastthurrockcfc@gmail.com to register. We have a guest from the Football Supporters’ Association attending to speak as well to share their knowledge of the journey ahead as a fan-run club. We together as fans will decide the future of East Thurrock Community Football Club.
